Dr Semiya Aziz
BSc (Hons) · MBBS · MRCGP · DFSRH · BSLM/IBLM
A seasoned general practitioner with over 20 years of experience in both the NHS and private practice. Every Say GP appointment is with Dr Semiya herself.
Training and experience
She read microbiology at Queen Mary University of London and took her MBBS at The Royal London Hospital. After several years of hospital medicine, including postgraduate MRCP exams and experience in gastroenterology, dermatology, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics and rheumatology, she trained as a GP at the North East London Deanery. She also spent time at Yale University Medical School in the United States as part of her medical education.
She keeps up to date through regular courses and conferences, and is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine.
How she works
She is passionate about high-quality, holistic and patient-centred care: taking the time to listen to each patient’s concerns, then tailoring her advice and treatment accordingly. Her special interests include menopause, women’s health, men’s health, family planning, anxiety, depression and lifestyle medicine.
Patients increasingly want quick, efficient GP consultations at times that suit them. Say GP was founded to give them greater choice, with a personal service and a long-term relationship with one doctor. She sees patients by video or telephone, face to face in Elstree, or on a home visit.
